Van Rooijen's placing may change as the gap to the peloton isn't certain - there was no timing shown on the broadcast because *shrugs in Chinese*. Knijnenburg winning GC should be certain, though - if yet unconfirmed.

No amount of media training in the world would have foreseen "pig emoji as joke to winning teammate on Strava gets understood as insult to whole country".

And it's not as if the team *needed* him - they still won 2 of 3 stages and did a 1-2-3-6 in GC.
