This has my head spinning, quite honestly. My first reaction yesterday was relief, for the riders and team staff, and for cycling on a broader scale.
Today all I can think is: where did these sponsors spring from?! In a sport that's always in desperate need of funding, this feels pretty miraculous.

Which then reminded me of a creative non-fiction piece I had published about the very same setting (it was based on reality of course) about 20 years later... which I'm now revisiting... the uncanny echo of memories changing down the years, is messing with my mind.
I've just found my first novel in the loft. I wrote it when I was 15 and my friends all insisted it was really good. I haven't read it since, I am going in - pray for me 😂🙏

Still digesting the range of really fascinating and entertaining talks I heard at Rouleur Live over the weekend, but the quote of the event for me was definitely Rory Townsend describing himself as 'a BTEC Mads Pedersen' 😆
