Seeing game devs take a "the customer is always right" approach to feedback is so sad because like I get it from a PR perspective, but...

1) The customer is always wrong

2) Your customers are gamers, so they're twice as wrong

I wonder if this will have the problem GPT-2 had when I tried using it to generate erotica a few years ago.

The problem being that it had an about 1% chance to pivot to child rape when you told it to write something erotic.

Honestly it sounds to me like judges and justices in the 19th century just made a bunch of stuff up out of thin air, totally disconnected from what is actually written in the constitution.

If done well, it wouldn't justify anything. It would just be an exploration of how people can become worse. Should you put such an exploration in your story? Depends on the kind of story you're trying to tell.

Who said that it isn't evil? No one is demanding non-evil villains. No one is demanding villains who are totally justified.

No one is born with the immutable characteristic of being evil. You could write the story of a regular child eventually becoming Trump. You don't have to, but you could.

It annoys me doubly because the Diamonds were never forgiven. Steven convinced them to stop doing evil stuff, but he never forgave them.

Actually a pretty good message of how saving the people they were oppressing is more important than his own personal feelings of what they might deserve.

I hadn't considered that but you know what. I think I'll start doing that. I could make a parameterized template which either turns fics into independent HTML pages, nice-looking PDFs, or AO3-compatible HTML.
