Slightly cloudier Mt Fuji with a much better foreground.

Not going to go out to Five Lakes this trip, so this is probably the best we'll get, but it was so cloudy we didn't see it at all last time.

Finally found a good view of Mt Fuji.

Oh good, my Global Entry renewal got approved.

Wasn't sure that was s given these days...

Lol at the N'EX train conductor making an announcement apologizing for the train running 4 minutes late.

That's extremely punctual in the US!

Get the fly the shiny new Alaska branded 787 that just delivered a week or so ago (didn't get a good angle on the tail livery, but I love it), and got upgraded for the 2nd of 3 Alaska long haul flights.

I'm liking this new Alaska long haul strategy!

This is important not only because of who is saying it, but because it doesn't let the conversation stop at lower level fuckwaffles like Bonvino.
The American Federation of Government Employees, which represents border patrol officers at the National Border Patrol Council, calls on Kristi Noem and Stephen Miller to resign or be fired

They’re swapping Bovino for Homan to claim they “heard you” while changing nothing that actually matters.

Same system, same cruelty. All optics.

Exactly right.

Bovino's leaving? Great, get Noem to resign.

Noem resigns? Great, defund and dismantle ICE.

Go after Stephen Miller too. Bring charges against ICE thugs at the state and local level. Lawsuits. New state laws restricting them.

Every possible angle.
They are wounded and flailing. Press the advantage.

Its a start. Now abolish ICE.

(I'd also ask for prosecutions, but I suspect those will have to wait until the DOJ is also rebuilt)
BREAKING Greg Bovino has been removed as Border Patrol "commander at large" and will return to El Centro Calif, where he is expected to retire soon. A stunning turnaround after Pretti killing. Bovino's traveling blue city crackdown is over www.theatlantic.com/politics/202...

Clinton's statement was better than Obama's.

I get that neither goes as far as people want, but given historical norms with former Presidents, honestly both statements are an extremely good sign in terms of where things are heading.

Maybe this will result in Target having some introspection about supporting all this bullshit, but I kinda doubt it.
Target in Minneapolis has pulled Hispanic employees off of pick-up order duty after ICE arrested two US citizen Hispanic employees while on the job.

“I’m literally a U.S. citizen!” one shouted as they escorted him into a van.

I just saw Waltz and was extremely confused for a sec until I realized it was the other one...
Waltz: "Denmark has ignored Greenland from a defense standpoint and they have ignored the Greenlandic native iniut people ... if you get a cancer diagnosis in Greenland right now, it's darn near a death sentence. Denmark has not invested in the way it should've over the years."
