He knows has to present Just So ALL THE TIME. The bar for Democratic Socialists is sky high, much higher than other candidates. It's fine by me. I know he looks just fine in anything he chooses to wear. :-)

Yes, the Dem refusal to endorse him and the outright malignment of a dynamic, intelligent candidate who seems to care for the city and the people was very telling. I'm assuming it's the Israel stance because I can't think of any other reason to NOT support someone with this much electric potential.

“Miss Major's support for young trans people, her work educating on HIV, and her activism on so many fronts not only changed lives; she changed history. Our thoughts are with her family and all those who knew and loved her.” - Brian K. Bond, CEO, PFLAG National

We honor the legacy of Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, a fierce protector of our collective freedom. Our hearts are with her loved ones and all who carry her vision forward.

"We will honor Miss Major forever." - @imarajones.bsky.social
An illustration of Miss Major surrounded by candles with blue background and a famous quote of hers written in gold. The quote reads“I don’t need their permission to exist; I exist in spite of them. I want you to train and teach and love on and create families within my community and gender non-conforming people, so that we can understand that we have a culture, we have a history, we have a reason to be here. We have a purpose. We’re entitled to be loved, and seek happiness, and share that with the people that we care about.” -Miss Major Griffin-Gracy

Vaccines are safe and effective.

Autism isn't caused by vaccines, and autistic people and their families deserve our support.

When you want information, ask your doctor.

It's more important than ever for all of us to speak plainly, truthfully, and directly about public health.

"During the encounter, Greeley said they told her she 'doesn’t look like' a Greeley."

www.yahoo.com/news/article...
Chicago Tribune: Greeley, who was born at Illinois Masonic hospital and is adopted, carries a copy of her passport just in case she runs into federal agents.

“I am Latina and I am a service worker,” Greeley said. “I fit the description of what they’re looking for now.”

During the encounter, Greeley said they told her she “doesn’t look like” a Greeley.

“They said this isn’t real, they kept telling me I’m lying, I’m a liar,” Greeley recalled. “I told them to look in the rest of my wallet, I have my credit cards, my insurance.”

Don’t say that ICE is “arresting people,” they are abducting people.👇

Love him. Wish I could watch him but I don't have HBO.

John Oliver is what liberals imagine Jon Stewart or Stephen Colbert to be — a genuine critic of America’s systemic failures who stands up for trans people and other marginalized groups, while actually offering real actions and hopeful solutions.

I don't like him as a person or politician, but he's not wrong.

That asshole fired all the people who help kids with disabilities in education.

Fuck him. Fuck everyone who enabled him

It is the BEST! The shrieks from kids when you read it and reach the end are hilarious LOL.

I use Ubereats and it is usually seamless, but when it goes bad, it goes very, very bad. My last order was VERY VERY BAD, so I'm trying DD now. We shall see.

Shout out to the Naked Bikeride who today ran hundreds of naked people directly through the line of federal officers and effectively blocked them from assaulting demonstrators. Being naked on a bike goes on the list of effective tactics if you get at least 500 of them and the city loves you.

UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 4: Sylvia Rivera

In the 1970s, queer New Yorkers had been pushed to the margins of NYC. Our trans neighbors faced immense cruelty. But in Sylvia Rivera, they found a champion.

As we combat Trump’s politics of darkness, her legacy can light the path forward.
