Hankerson goes through again. Oregon State 45, Lafayette 13, 4th Q.
The rout is on. Oregon State powers in for another touchdown. Oregon State 38, Lafayette 13, mid 4Q. I can't get over that at one point in the 2nd half this was Lafayette 13, Oregon State 10 at one point, at the Beaver 30.

Nice play by Oregon State on 4th and 1 to Milbourne. Oregon State leads Lafayette 17-13 mid 3rd.
Lafayette 13, Oregon State 10. Halftime. Surprised? I'm not.
Lafayette 10, Oregon State 10. DeNobile with a laser to Scerbo. 1:48 left.
Set up by a long punt return, Hankerson bounced in for Oregon State and now lead 10-3 over Lafayette with 8:23 left in the first half.
End of 1Q. and it's Lafayette 3, Oregon State 3. If you thought a Patriot League school would wilt at the sight of mighty 0-7 Oregon State playing with an interim head coach, you would be mistaken.
The real non-AI answer is Lafayette beat Army-West Point once, in 1940, by a score of 19-0.
Fun fact: Lafayette is receiving $500,000 to play against Oregon State here in Corvallis.
"Google, I know Lafayette beat Rutgers in 1971. How was Rutgers that year?"
Rutgers that year was 4-7, with other losses to:

Cornell
Lehigh
Delaware
Columbia
Bucknell

To give badly needed context
"Google, did Lafayette ever beat Army?

How many thousands of dollars did it take for AI to give me this answer
The CW broadcast said that Lafayette's last win over an FBS* team was in 1971. They are basing this on the fact that they beat Rutgers in Easton 13-7. In fact, Division I and FBS designations didn't even exist then. Lafayette has never heated a I-A FBS team since the D-I designation.
So as an amuse-bouche to Patriot League After Dark, Washington State just lost to Virginia on a game-winning safety
Ready for the inaugural version of Patriot League After Dark?
Montana 43, Sacred Heart 21. This game was a 1 score game with 6:46 remaining until QB Keali’i Ah Yat found WR Michael Wortham for a 52 yard strike that broke it open. Ah Yat had 5 TDs passing.
Villanova 56, Hampton 14 and Monmouth 49, Stony Brook 21. As expected, Villanova and Monmouth blew away the weaker teams of the CAA with dominating victories. Nova QB Pat McQuade completed 10 passes, 5 for TDs. Monmouth RB Rodney Nelson (top rusher in FCS) rushed for 141 yards and 2 TDs.
Penn 35, Columbia 21. The Lions battled hard, deadlocked at 21 late in the 3rd until Penn's Liam O'Brien found future NFL WR Jared Richardson to give the Quakers a 28-21 lead. O'Brien had a part of all 5 TDs, 4 passing, 1 rushing.
Yale 47, Stonehill 7. Bulldog defense smothered Stonehill to only 152 total yard of offense, while WR Jaxton Santiago had 150 yards receiving and a TD. Yale is 3-2.
Harvard 31, Merrimack 7. RB DJ Gordon ran for 104 yards and 2 TDs, including a backbreaker in the 3rd quarter putting Harvard up 21-7. Crimson are a convincing 5-0.
Holy Cross 28, Richmond 22. Crusaders get their first win - on the road, even - and a hobbling Kyle Wickersham couldn't rally the Spiders late. 4 different Crusaders scored rushing TDs.
Georgetown 21, Colgate 17. A thrilling W for Georgetown at home. QB Dez Thomas II has emerged and his 2 TDs on the ground were the difference. Colgate took a quick lead, Hoyas responded, and a late INT sealed the deal.
Dartmouth 30, Fordham 13. Fordham closed it to 16-13 then Dartmouth took charge with a quick score and a definitive win. Mistakes hurt both sides.
