An utter tragedy of man.

NEW info on shipwreck attack. It gets worse.

The 2 survivors climbed atop wreckage and waved to overhead.

"Some of the people viewing the video thought ... could have been an attempt to surrender"

Others "said the most logical explanation was ... signaling for a rescue."

Quite breathtaking story - military grade drones at Dublin airport which flew on the path Zelensky's plane took. The drones reached the flight path of his plane exactly the time it should have been there, but just missed it because Zelensky arrived ahead of schedule:
Four unidentified military-style drones breached no-fly zone to target Zelenskyy's arrival in Dublin
Gardaí are investigating whether the drones took off from land in Dublin or from an undetected ship.

Hegseth is very transparently blaming a Navy admiral for his own decision. Let this be a lesson for every other military officer: The Trump administration will issue unlawful orders, then blame you for following them.

Great to hear Austrian foreign minister @beate.neos.eu demands unity, speed and strength from Europe and favors qualified majority voting in EU foreign and security policy.

This is no technicality, without this change we will be torn apart by global tensions. And it can only be the beginning.

Great article by @sbeverts.bsky.social.

I recently visited Brussels after some time away, and unfortunately, I could feel the fatalism in the institutions.

What it needs is a defence union, with people in charge who can actually deter the other big powers from doing as they can.

Österreich muss sich sicherheitspolitisch entscheiden
Weiter an der Neutralität in dieser Form festzuhalten, könnte sich als fatal erweisen. Wege aus dieser Misere gäbe es einige. Zuwarten ist keiner

They fed my captors the narrative, scripted the lies, and filmed the propaganda that dehumanised me long before any sham courtroom.

Hegseth is a murderer. Even if the US was "at war" with drug smugglers – which it isn't – that would still be a war crime ("no quarter", see Article 8(2)(b)(xii) of the ICC's Rome Statute)

Twitter pays people based on engagement (views, retweets, comments, etc). It appears that many MAGA accounts are based abroad and they use AI technology to generate low-effort rage bait.

My guess is that this will get worse as AI tech improves. For instance, fake videos of minorities doing crime.
