Remember - if you're financially in a position to do so, skip the #BlackFriday deals online from big companies and shop instead from small and local businesses.
The big guns don't need your money, but for small traders it can be what keeps them going into 2026, so support your community instead.

1/ Collective punishment of tens of thousands of vetted Afghan partners won’t prevent radicalization. But it will guarantee fewer allies, more enemies, and higher risks for U.S. troops the next time we deploy.

Opinion | The Ambush on the National Guard
The alleged shooting by an Afghan ‘partner’ shouldn’t condemn all who assisted the U.S. and now live here.

Heavy-industry sectors like cement have long struggled to decarbonise because their processes require very high temperatures.

That’s why the new Rondo Energy heat-battery project in Thailand is such a big deal - powering a cement plant with low-carbon steam.

Rondo and SCG Cleanergy have commenced operation of Southeast Asia's first industrial thermal BESS at SCG's cement plant in Thailand.

It’s not a great deal if you don’t need it. And especially this year, others really need support. So for all of us who have enough, let’s refuse to get sucked into the holiday shopping frenzy and share instead of shop. We don’t need more stuff, we need communities where all our neighbors are safe.

I am grateful for our constitution and the right to speak freely and the right to criticize my government. That is American. That is a bedrock of democracy.

Most transparent ploy ever by the faithless non official who put a 23 year-old gardener with zero relevant experience in charge of protecting our country from terrorism and insists that patriots and elected lawmakers upholding the constitution are committing sedition.

See Truth Social. Everything.

Absolutely. Venezuela captured CIA operatives who were preparing a false flag operation against a warship off their coast.

Look at these men. They are ashamed of themselves as they should be. They are standing here while the president calls their professional colleague a “stupid person.”

I don’t care if you think you’ll lose access. You need to speak up. Decent Americans are tired of this and disgusted with all of you.

The thought of being sent back to face almost certain death after helping our men and women in uniform?

I suppose wanting the first soldier you see makes sense.

Not justifying it. Just explaining it.

The same thought occurred to me. Having lived through Afghanistan, being in a city full of people in military uniform might have triggered some severe PTSD.

Wondering if it’s possible, just remotely possible, that the Afghan refugee involved in today’s shooting suffers from war trauma and shouldn’t be anywhere near a weapon in a city that is as militarized as Kandahar.

It’s at least as plausible as the claim he’s a terrorist.

‘Medicare for All’ still big. “In a survey of 1,207 likely voters [from] Nov. 14–17, 2025, ...65% of voters [supported] a Medicare for All system, described as a ‘national health insurance program... that would cover [everyone] & replace... private health insurance...’" jacobin.com/2025/11/medi...
Medicare for All Disappeared. Its Popularity Didn’t.
The demand for Medicare for All went from the center of the discourse to political exile in record time. But the policy's popularity never faded. A new poll finds strong majority support for the neglected idea among Americans across the political spectrum.

Reminder: last week a Federal judge ruled that Trump had no authority to send Troops to Washington, D.C. Trump ignored the ruling and this week two National Guardsmen were shot. Trump tried to blame Biden. We know the truth.

Communities need used-book shops.

As the trends in our world are increasingly standardized and entrenched by "predictive" technologies that stifle innovation and reduce human actions into economic categories...

We need a full range of possibilities for readers and communities to explore and share.

ICE is arresting husbands & wives at their final green card interviews

They’re going to the immigration meeting to complete the final step in the legal process and leaving in handcuffs

One man had to take his crying infant from his wife’s arms as ICE forcibly detained her

This is cruel entrapment

Average American Thanksgiving: President declares total ban on immigration, calls an esteemed democratic governor a slur, and then goes on TV to talk about Somalis like animals when asked about a mass shooting by a former child soldier and member of a CIA associated death squad.
Trump: “I will permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries … denaturalize migrants who undermine domestic tranquility, and deport any Foreign National who is a public charge, security risk, or non-compatible with Western Civilization.“
