Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea

It’s neither the lawful answer nor is it the oath they took.
BLITZER: I want to be precise. Should members of the US military obey clearly illegal orders?

McCLAIN: You're asking an enlisted person for their opinion on what they think is legal. That's a pretty slippery slope. Follow your commander in chief. That's the oath that you took

Breaking character: I am open to the idea the media's coverage of Biden's age and mental acuity was fair or perhaps not even tough enough. But the fact that it was so much tougher than the coverage of Trump's (more severe) mental decline is damning and I can't see how anyone could argue otherwise.

It gets lost in the shuffle, but the Speaker of the House is someone who, by all rights, should’ve had his career ended a decade ago by a Shreveport TV news investigative team.
Fond memories of that time Mike Johnson was president of a local law school that never opened its doors, in part because it was attached to a Baptist college that was losing its accreditation, and in part because it was always a scam from the start
Mike Johnson -- who is, yes, theoretically a lawyer -- has not had a chance to look at the American Constitution because he's been very busy lately, folks, he just can't see everything, gosh, how is he supposed to know if it's wrong that the president called for the execution of congress members?

The message behind “quiet, piggy” was not subtle.
I decide who speaks. I decide what truth is. I decide whose pain persists and whose gets erased. I decide what women are allowed to ask me. I decide which crimes survive and which get swallowed in smoke.

Of course, using Mullin's logic, anyone who comes down with COVID, measles, rubella, whooping cough etc. because they refused to get vaccinated had it coming, so...

Trump attempted to rig this very census by purposefully trying to deny counting all persons living in the US - shortchanging states where immigrants lived (both legally and illegally).

Census is an absolute count - not just of citizens.

Do journalists really want to put their names behind the claim that palling around with someone known to be a child sex predator—to say nothing of the months-long coverup we’ve all witnessed—does not constitute “wrongdoing”? Apparently yes they do.
Kate Bolduan: "The president has not been accused of any crimes or wrongdoing as it relates to Jeffrey Epstein or these files even with these emails being released. That's one thing we need to make clear. There's no accusations of any wrongdoing so far."

We know why, and it's the same reason Trump picked her for AG - she's "good" at covering up criminal conduct for the rich and powerful. And by good, we mean delaying consequences to the criminals involved.
Why didn't Pam Bondi investigate Jeffrey Epstein when she was Florida’s AG from 2011 to 2019?! As Florida's AG, Bondi made prosecuting sex traffickers who preyed on children a top priority. Yet for some reason she never investigated Epstein. My article: deanobeidallah.substack.com/p/we-need-to...

Democrats must subpoena every communication between Trump, WH staff, and the FBI/DOJ re: Epstein. That includes every phone used by Patel, Bondi, and Trump on down. These fuckers think that they can cover up Trump's fingerprints all over Epstein? The orange sticks to everything.

Everything.

They don't want Smith testifying because he'll expose the GOP scam and the misconduct that Smith was investigating for all to see.

They want to pad their bank accounts on taxpayer dime, same as always. They are corrupt to the core.
Senate Republicans don’t want to bring in Jack Smith to testify before the American people to ask him why he subpoenaed limited phone data on 8 co-conspirators to overturn the election, they just want a quick $1 million check from the taxpayers instead.

#MLB do better.

You announce all your season awards weeks after end of the season, when no one is focusing on baseball. It's an afterthought.

Announce the awards between the Championship Series and the World Series for maximum exposure. It just makes sense.

Trump: immigration must cease. We can't have foreigners coming in to take our jobs.

Also Trump: Americans are stupid and don't have the expertise, so we need H1B visas for people with specific knowledge. My personal businesses rely heavily on this (even though they're not experts).

More people have died in ICE custody in last 9 months than in the entire prior 4 years.

We hear of a few, but most barely make the news.

Cases like Randall Alberto Gamboa Esquivel.

He was in perfect health when ICE detained him.

He disappeared in June & by August was in a vegetative state.
