The first Jack Reacher movie is so funny because it's got the exact same beats and energy as the show but anytime Cruise does Reacher lines he's off-putting and weird! Just listen to him talking to Rosamund Pike about why he drifts around! Feels like he's about to offer her a copy of Dianetics.

I'm thinking about this in connection to an article that holds Hades 2 up to the fire a little bit and that's also gotten a few people mad.

But like simply put "I find these aesthetics annoying and detest how the characters talk and act" is just kinda something you gotta deal with.
