Just to add my two cents here: the last 5 years of my library career at Stanford was managing the Media & _Microtext_ Center. It housed all of the audio-visual materials in our humanities library.

So I know a little about microfilm... 😉

I can't say enough how important it is to oppose these camps with every fiber of our beings...

As commentators pointed out many of these proposed concentration camps are near railroad tracks. 'Nuf said.
Highlighting the speaker who stood in front of the Surprise mayor and told him to consider what the Mayor of Ohrdruf must’ve thought before he died by suicide: “He might have thought ‘how is this my fault I had no jurisdiction over this’ maybe he said ‘this site was not subject to local zoning.’”

The massive government funding package just failed badly in the Senate, 45-55.

Needed 60.

Zero Democrats voted for it.

SEVEN Republicans opposed it:

Budd
Johnson
Lee
Paul
Moody
Rick Scott
Tuberville

(John Thune switched his vote to no for procedural reasons.)

Chubb insurance can't claim to be a "steward of the earth" while insuring methane terminals that hurt people and planet. Chubb: it's match point and the ball is in your court. 🎾 Listen to communities and stop insuring Freeport LNG NOW! #ChubbAtTheOpen #USopen

Whatever momentary use it may appear to have, the real goal of "AI" is to strip you of your skills, leaving you helpless.

The Nahuas of pre-Invasion Mesoamerica warned their children not to neglect the skills that make life livable and worth living.

Those are principles America was founded upon.

On June 14, let’s stand together again to remind Trump and all of our fellow Americans that we don’t do kings in this country: www.nokings.org?SQF_SOURCE=i...

Two years ago I went on TV and said exactly this: The AI panic cycle was a marketing campaign by known billionaire failures, ultimately an excuse to revenge-fire workers with no immediate replacement.

I literally said "The agita around AI is deeply cultural." Me no have TV job shortly thereafter.

We’re eliminating programs that save millions of people from disease

And ending a lot of research that has cured diseases and will cure more

Because we need to funnel resources into AI

Because someday it may be able to figure out cures for disease

Do I have that right?

The Trump admin isn’t just slashing government—it’s waging a war on kids. From cutting child abuse investigations to shutting down Head Start and gutting child support enforcement, this cruelty is deliberate. For what? Tax cuts for rich people.
The Trump Administration’s War on Children
The administration is quietly putting America’s children at risk by cutting funds and manpower for investigating child abuse, enforcing child support payments, providing child care and much more.
