No Kings march in full swing in downtown Chicago. Large crowds headed east toward Grant Park and the lakefront.

Best Chicago-themed costumes I saw today:

- Two hot dogs (no ketchup)

- One t-rex skeleton (representing Sue, at least in my head canon)

I’ll share more later but it’s looking like Chicago had 300,000+ people turn out today!

at every station there’s cheering and waving from all sides of the platforms

No kid should ever have to protest or advocate for their friends’ basic humanity.

But they’re standing up at No Kings anyway.

Weingarten: There are so many people who want to fight for our democracy and say no kings. And what I have just been told, that in New York City, there are more people at Times Square than there are on New Year's Eve

Fiber art is an inherently political medium so it should come as no surprise that there’s a lot of work being made right now from some amazingly action-oriented folks 🧶
I’m so lucky to work with amazing artists including one who prepared some screenprints of texts with various NO KINGS slogans that now adorn some of my tshirts! Here’s some pictures from the rapid-fire printing she did today 🔥
A lot of folks have been talking about what they’re wearing tomorrow - inflatable costume, cosplays, bright colors, American flags, Halloween costumes - everything to show that this is a peaceful protest with many folks marching for their sense of patriotism

Cops led us into the street as the new “protest zone” and then beat us repeatedly.

Got hit in the face with a baton. Leaving to pick up my friends who were arrested.

Stay safe out there.
