We’re thrilled to welcome Cllr Tina Valcarcel to the Liberal Democrat group! 🧡

After nearly 20 years as a Labour councillor, Tina says Labour has moved away from her values — and she’s found her home with the Lib Dems.

Welcome, Tina! ✨

As a graduate of another fine Welsh University, Aberystwyth, I could not agree more. Chilling stuff.
This is what we're up against. Bangor University, that fine and noble institution where I've spoken twice, nearly 150 years young and still going strong. The sheer hatred they reserve for us shows what could happen after 2029, but also that they're frightened of knowledge and learning.

Labour says its increasing funding in London.

What they aren't telling you is their numbers include YOUR COUNCIL TAX.

So it's not more money for our councils - in most of Inner London, it's actually going down per head.

It's a sham and I will keep calling it out.

Why is Labour in Westminster cutting £79 per person in Lambeth?

Luke is right, this is Labour austerity.

Today I tabled the Images (Non-consensual Recording & Distribution) Bill in Parliament.

This Bill would make it an offence to non-consensually record & distribute images of a person online for profit with the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification or causing humiliation or distress.

Covert filming must be made a criminal act. We need to close the legal loopholes, tighten voyeurism laws, and make platforms act more quickly to remove this content.

The law must be fit for purpose to protect women and girls in the digital world.

Today, I challenged the Government on the measures in place to support victims of domestic violence.

Anyone who seeks help from the police must feel protected, not failed by processing errors.

Such failures are unacceptable and must never be repeated.

It’s time for Labour stop the infighting and get on with fixing the country.

And if they can’t do that - they should call a General Election.

The situation in Iran is shocking. The regime’s brutal crackdown has reportedly cost tens of thousands of lives. The UK Government must go further and proscribe the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Ayatollahs’ iron fist, as a terrorist organisation.

Labour's pandering to Reform is absolutely disgusting here.

1. The headline 'banned' is a lie - which is immediately contradicted in the post text.

2. 'Illegal migrants' is *because* the government makes it virtually impossible to claim refuge in the UK - so is a government choice.
The Home Office now describes asylum seekers as "illegal immigrants [living in hotels]" with no reference to the reason that these people are in government-funded accommodation is that this government has taken & will process the asylum claim from them in 98-99% of cases of unauthorised entry.
