I have once again forgotten my anniversary of the Sputnik 2 mission because of health reasons.
Trauma has a good way of keeping tabs on the calendar. Not to remind you of your defining achievement, but the remind you to feel bad once again for the thing that happened to you because you were good.

Genre and suspension of disbelief are not a defense of criticisms of dialogue. Even if a genre lends to different types of dialogue, you have to create a united design.
Criticisms of "realism" are criticisms of narrative design. You didn't set up the characters to be this way.

I don’t know how we’ve gotten to the point where men in full balaclavas can abduct daycare teachers while they’re watching children.
But I do know that this isn’t sustainable. Abolish ICE. There is no way to reform this.

The lack of media literacy and the enmeshing of Nazi humor into our mainstream is a problem as younger marginalized people don't understand that the point of Nazi "jokes" is to be indistinguishable from actual advocacy that is otherwise unconscionable. "It's a joke" is a permission structure.
