"Oxford commas are a sign you write with ai" I will find such a unique way to rip out your spine that they'll make a movie about it
Well said.
One hundred percent, I am a Ben Solo hater, fuck that little space Nazi school shooter, I am suspicious and distrustful of the cultural desire to redeem terrible white men in fiction
I am not a Ben solo hater. I think he’s fine. I’m more pointing out the cultural desire to have a movie focused on randomly bringing him back then a push to make a movie about a Black man. Nothing really even to do with fandom.
Started on the sequel! Fully outlined and 2 chapters written. Jes, Windy, Fin, & Stritch are back, and in trouble again 😅

They’re making new friends & enemies, modifications to their ship, & even gaining a new addition to the crew

Super excited to be writing in their universe again
A rag-tag crew, sure. A skip-ship cobbled together out of parts rescued from the recycler, though? Well, when you’re at the bottom of the ladder, you grab for the rung you can reach

You need a ship. You need a crew & a mission. But more than that, you need a family...

This is not something I want to do, but as someone who was food insecure for a long time, here are some ways to get the most out of what you can get.

-if you have dietary restrictions or food aversions, spend some time thinking about what foods are safe. It sounds obvious, but—
The thing about tattoo-gate that’s especially infuriating is getting raw, definite confirmation of just how many Democrats see me accessing gender-affirming care and living my own private life as a materially worse thing than someone getting a nazi tattoo and then running for Senate.
I'm pretty sure that some people understand Nazis, though.
Also, “MH” is a huge gamut of Dx & care. For some diagnoses, meds are the cast and therapy is the treatment. For others, therapy is the cast and finding the right meds is the treatment. Every person is a different person.
As a therapist, I will *never* discourage clients from talking to their prescriber about medication

Should you get therapy *also*? Absolutely.

But we wouldn’t tell someone with a broken leg to not get a cast, just “tough it out,” would we?

Same damn thing.
Something it's become unfashionable to say about mental health is that the answer often IS a pill.

It doesn't matter how many earnest discussion programmes you have on Radio 4, sometimes the answer is a big old pill.

I am begging the mainstream media to talk less about the East Wing & more about the loss of SNAP funding for the next few days.

The East Wing is gone. We can’t change that.

We *can* help people prepare for the loss of SNAP.

We can urge folks to donate to food banks.

We can give them warning.

Kay. Still not gonna vote for your shitty anti-trans, anti-immigrant, anti-Black, anti-Palestinian, pro-murders-by-cops, pro-mass-deportation candidates, so you can either nominate people who DON'T alienate millions of your potential voters, or we can both just keep on losing, together.
Thought I knew how. I Swear!

"Oh so there's no path to redemption?" Sure there is. Most paths to redemption don't run through the U.S. Senate, though. Go, live a good life. Farm oysters. Diminish and go into the East and be an always improving Graham Platner. Do not be a Senator. And remove that fucking tat.

Sometimes healing from trauma IS the quest

In my anti-epic fantasy duology, nonbinary youth Arin discovers that trauma is the source of their power

But our greatest strengths aren’t always what we think they are...

"A writer is a person who cares what words mean, what they say, how they say it. Writers know words are their way towards truth and freedom, and so they use them with care, with thought, with fear, with delight. By using words well they strengthen their souls.”

It would be cool if people fought for trans people like they fight for a shitass politician with a Nazi tattoo.
I thought this would be a quick story, “Nazi tattoo, blanket denunciation, done,” but clearly this is going to turn into a whole thing.
This is perfectly put:
“I was with you, until you said ‘pregnant people.’”

I get this a lot. I’m an abortion provider, and the CEO and President of an org known for abortion advocacy. Let’s talk about why I use inclusive language — and why I’m not stopping. 🧵

How about this, folks: go to knbrindle.itch.io, download a book or two of mine for free, and donate their cost to this instead?

I want to be able to read these books, don’t you?
And no, I'm not doing any more crowdfunds anytime soon.

Even I underestimated how much people would bend to the pups attack on me, our authors, and anything apparently I even try to help people with.

Can the English speaking world find this $3245 please? (From new, not the same people!)

Come ON.
