Destructive jerks get space in our faces just because somebody thinks they have money. It's the ultimate punchline of the DFT years: They thought he had money.

It’s really being used heavily these days as a call-and-response for shitty people; just a quick test to see if you’re dealing with someone who is equally fed up with the expectation that you treat human beings with basic courtesy.
I really think that even most people who think language policing was a huge problem over the past 5-10 years have no patience for the disgusting little freaks who have tried to bring back "retarded" as a slur. It's just so low-rent and such a tell that the person using it is not worth your time

Whatever the reasoning, it is incredibly disappointing. Plus, a reminder to @chrismurphyct.bsky.social that while GOP ratings suck, there's no great love for Democrats. So try something new? The Senate can surely move to retract the approval of Petey for lying to them at confirmation time.

Is the 🇺🇸 constitution in fact operative?

Or has the 🇺🇸 merely had a long and informal interregnum between George III and Donald I?
Trump claims power to overturn Article I of the Constitution (Congress's authority over spending); Article II (predecessor's pardon power); and Article III (by defying a federal court order).

This has been a favourite #1920s dress for a long time but I had never before seen the more detailed images of the arrangement of the beaded shapest. I have a whole new appreciation for Poiret’s design choices and the hands sewing the beads #museumatfit #FashionHistory 🗃️🪡

This Japanese print by an unknown artist titled 'Snow Demon' (ca. 1930s) depicts a demon or god creating snow. It seems to be part of a series depicting weather gods.

traditional color theory posits that red, yellow, and blue are the primary colors from which all other colors are derived. in global culinary theory, however, sauces tend to align around red, yellow, or green. this suggests that blue sauces, or the absence thereof, are the last creative frontier

Highlight of my day: Steve Novella from my fave podcast @theskepticsguide.bsky.social saw right through this immediately. The issue here is definitional and you can almost claim any object is tool use with the current definitions - which is why ”tooling“ is a better framework to study the phenomenon

I think often of the time a bunch of murder victims’ families showed Trump treasured photos of their loved ones and he signed them
Q: Do you plan to attend Sarah's funeral?

TRUMP: I haven't thought about it yet, but it's certainly something I can conceive of. I love West Virginia. You know, I won West Virginia by one of the biggest margins of any president anywhere.
