I know I I haven't watched baseball in a while, but I think the Jays lost because they fielded all these new guys. Where are Manny Lee and Kelly Gruber? I really think Rance Mulliniks should have been a part of the equation

It's wild to me that an NHLer, who happened to score a couple of goals one night, answered more media questions in one press conference than the Conservative leader had to in a month-long campaign.

Media availability should be mandatory for all politicians across the political spectrum. #cdnpoli

I highly recommend getting on the Conservatives email list. It's endlessly hilarious how bad they are at everything.

I voted. Notes on my experience:

1. It was busy, but fast. I was in and out in maybe 5 or 6 minutes

2. What a stark contrast to the Ontario provincial election in February. It felt like the vote mattered and I didn't have to leap a snow pile (🖕 Ford)

3. That school gym looked a lot bigger in 1986

The only question for Doug Ford (and Ontario voters) on Ontario Place: is this your government‘s incompetence or your government’s corruption?

I could have gone the rest of my life not knowing what the word "crepitus" means. At least I didn't learn it the hard way.

Also, if the characters in these first aid videos, "Garry" and "Linda", aren't fictional, then they should be investigated. People around them are always getting hurt.

I see we've reached the "Stop signs and speed limits don't matter" part of Friday afternoon traffic.

Peak procrastination: I had a dentist appointment this morning, or so I thought. I was a week early. I think they tried to offer me an opportunity to reschedule it to today but it was so hard to hear them over the sound of myself escaping rapidly and gleefully out the door.

People keep saying this is the darkest timeline so I peeked into the timeline next door and everyone there is running around with their hair literally on fire, so it's only marginally better.

Loblaws labelling their orange juice with a little red maple leaf is just more of the shady shit we've all come to expect from them. Was the fruit from the famous orange groves of Flin Flon, Manitoba?

Their shiny new signs might as well say "Disrespecting our customers since 1919"

My partner asked me to pick up a tent but the reminder she sent me said "Trent". Clearly this is an opportunity to pull an only marginally funny and mostly awkward prank on her. Alas there aren't a lot of Trents around these days.

This is yet another reason why 2025 is a tough time to be alive.

If you're having a bad day, just remember that without security clearance, accidentally being invited to a group chat is the only way Poilievre is gonna learn Canada's national security secrets.

As an NDP voter, here's my totally for sure expert analysis of the other major national party leaders:

Mark Carney seems like a level-headed, sensible, capable person.

Pierre Poilievre seems like the kind of guy who would egg Justin Trudeau's house and shit on the hood of his car. #cdnpoli

Well the news isn't all doom and gloom after all
March 20, 2025 at 6:22 PM
I see CBC Front Burner decided that a break from the doom and gloom news was necessary, so they ran an episode about a more cheerful topic: Charles Manson #cdnpoli #onpoli

At this point in time, with our country's sovereignty and economic future in doubt, any #HamOnt City Councillor still giving oxygen to a 2030 Commonwealth Games bid should resign. This was pure folly a year ago, it's absolute madness now.

There will be a new Federal riding: Flamborough-Glanbrook-Brant North. Flam-Glan drops Upper Stoney Creek and gains Paris, Saint George and surrounding parts of Brant County.

That seems goofy.

@lessinterestinplse.bsky.social for what it's worth, graffiti is already againt City bylaws and enforcement to get it cleaned up is complaint-driven, so call the City if you don't like seeing it.

Beyond that, catching vandals is a policing issue and Council can't legally direct the police.

I probably shouldn't have bet all that money on Frank Bayfield? Frank Bayblade? Frank Bayliss? I can't ever remember his name.

You know what they say, you can't make an omelet without dramatically reimagining some eggs.
I found it distressing this afternoon when a CNN reporter said President Trump had spent the last six weeks "dramatically reimagining presidential power."

The more cooking videos you watch the more you'll learn that it's super important to always wash your rice, but also never ever wash your rice, but also sometimes wash your rice.
March 3, 2025 at 1:22 AM
Boards of trade, Chambers of commerce, the Canadian Federation of Independent Businesses.. they're all basically right wing lobby groups who often pretend that they're just looking out for "the little guy" when really they're mostly just rich people doing cronyism.

Happy election day to everyone in Ontario except Doug Ford and everyone who is voting for him.

This is bullshit.
