don't forget that text replacements are extremely useful, and even sync between iOS and macOS! very handy:

a list of automatic text replacements, including parentheses c turning into ©, xx turning into ×, and bal turning into Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever

A little over a week until my birthday, 2 weeks until Flower's

this makes 3 years in a row I've been far from her for our birthdays which sucks because A) Birthdays are a super important holiday imo B) It's entirely my fault 🤦‍♀️

Still sticking to my rule of never working on my birthday though

I've been very impressed by SHDL's operations (BOH & FOH)

The Nighttime show is top tier, it has a big marvel section in the middle that's a little too long imo but the technical aspects are really great.

Nothing Beats Mix Magic at DL for me but this gets pretty close

drinking a ton of water and still have lost a kilo since getting here.

Eating healthier and more deliberately is a nice side effect of being in Asia. I lost weight in Japan too but not as much because there was a lot of snacking to be done lol. A bit less so in China so far

They're also doing a Tron music/dance party on the stage in Tomorrowland here which seems pretty cool from what I could see in passing (hoping it's not a 1st night only thing so I can enjoy it more fully off the clock)

I was finally able to get into a shop and stand under the cold air blade for a couple minutes and felt better but played it safe and went home.

Had an awesome day at SHDR! Got to ride everything and see all the shows. Only really skipped the M&Gs.

Had to bail early though as the heat did me in. I was drinking lots of water but it couldn’t keep me cool…

Got stuck out in the heat from 1-2pm and I was getting sick & woozy 😭

Shanghai very 1st impressions:

- I'm on the surface of the sun (real feels 105+)
- Language barrier is definitely tougher here than Japan was because so much is done via apps w/ limited translation
- City is nice, easy to navigate
- surprisingly the tap water is apparently iffy to drink 🤷‍♀️

The Amphora of Great Intelligence (AGI)

A comic strip in four panels:

1. A bird's-eye view of a giant amphora the size of a building with closed eyes and a closed mouth engraved on it. Using scaffolding, a community of wizards climbed up and are throwing all their books into it, to fill its content.

2. A ground level view at the bottom of the giant amphora. This time, the wizards bring tree trunks, cut down nearby trees, and throw them into a large fire to boil the giant amphora.
