I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

Mr China coming in hard with the first of the traditional and *stunning* looks. There's just the right element of cosplay to the look, the colours are stunning and we love a weapon as a prop in Mister Global (fnar). Although the shoe looks oddly clunky. Minor quibble though.

All of us have Yankees fans as friends so we don't take the “hate” too seriously. Yesterday we watched the Yankees game and rooted for Toronto, and my husband sent texts on every run to his Yankee fan friend who couldn’t watch the game. Fans know who you love isn’t always rational.

Pretty much everyone who roots for an American League team comes to hate the Yankees. You get excited when your team gets in the playoffs and then they are beaten by the Yankees. Over and over. Greedy team with too many titles. Give someone else a turn!

They are intense. My husband is a Red Sox fan. He has loved the team since childhood since he grew up in Mass. He is frustrated with the racism of some of their fans though so that’s another issue with the team. But it is fun to “hate” the Yankees. Just don’t take it too seriously.

I don’t think you have to pick a team right off. I watch games by teams I don’t follow and my rule is generally to root for the home team (then you’re aligned with all the cheering). Playoffs right now are a good time to see different teams and get a feeling for how they and their fans present.

I think it’s helpful to pick a team that you can see in person with friends. It’s also nice if you have friends who follow the same team(s). I’d also look at which ones you can easily watch on TV in your area. It’s frustrating if your fave is blocked due to regional rules.

As an A’s fan, I say it will break your heart if you pick them. They are underfunded and being treated terribly with this move to Las Vegas. I follow them because they were my regional team from childhood and I lived in Oakland as an adult. But now in Hawaii, most of their games are blocked on TV.
