Faerathos enjoyes touch a lot and it's a sort of validation for him. He's mentally not doing well and needs constant external validation, which he often seeks in form of reassuring touch.

Cassia dislikes touch but it's mostly because she's had to pretend to be more touchy -

How does your character feel about physical touch?

Are they fans of a handshake, hug, pat on the back, etc?

Do they prefer to keep their distance?

Does it matter how close they are to the other person?

I talked earlier about the ritual to fertilise the soil so now I'll talk about the festivities around it. It's held every year during the first full moon after the snow has melted, which is usually in May. It's called the Sowing Night. The festivities are held everywhere 1/7
Howdy, #NovemberWorldbuilders. What special events take place near the river/lake in your fictional world? Do they have any festivals or annual traditions? How do your characters engage with these events?

Since the Vúolhu (Starry river) is so central for Dir'ahin, almost all major cities are located along it, but I will be talking about two of them which are relevant to the story, the twin cities of Moon and Sun, which formed together the capital, and Nái'niehkavalva. 1/5
Good day, #NovemberWorldbuilders! What settlements exist along the river or lake in your fictional world? Are they small? Big? A series of small villages or maybe one grandiose castle that dominates the area? Who lives and works around the water?

I was checking my worldbuilding notes and realised that I had forgotten that I had already dropped the Strarry river name. Like previously that had been the Angusian name for the river, but I had already decided that the Angusians had adopted the Ahinian name for it, Vúolhu river :'D
#NovemberWorldbuilders

This will be a long one :'D

Starry river is actually extremely crucial for Dir'ahin's economy. Dir'ahin is very far north, the river is mostly just below the arctic circle. That far north supporting a civilization like Dir'ahin with pre-industrial society (industrial 1/5
Alright, #NovemberWorldbuilders, this is the nichest of niche questions. If you have a notable lake/river in your world, how does it impact the economy? Do people fish from it? Are there any other resources they use? Maybe barges use it for transporting goods?

Fianne is seemingly a talking crow and Cassia's companion. Really it's a malicious forest spirit who Cassia has bound into a crow. It turned malicious after it's trees were felled on mass for industrialisation and started luring humans deep into forest and eating their souls.

Are your characters human?

If not, tell me a little about what they are!

If so, are there any non-human species they interact with regularly? Tell me a bit about them and the type of relationship they have!

Since I wrote about some Dir'ahin worldbuilding, I was reminded of these Ahinian clothing designs from last year. First is Agrippa in courtly fashion for women, with royal headdress. Second is her brother in a fairly casual outdoorsy men's wear fitting for royalty.

Scivener my beloved.
Unlike most apps these days, Scrivener does not use AI in any way. However, if you’re on a Mac, you may see an AI prompt.

If I needed advice with relationships I would turn to Julius. He was the father of the MCs and had great human skills and some of the healthiest relationships in the books. I would not listen to his money advice though since he was a noble and never had to think that. -

Which of your characters would you turn to for advice?

Does it matter what the advice was on? Relationships? Money? Career? Other?

Is there anyone who's advice you would always do the exact opposite of?

I recently actually redrew the first piece of this year. It's René, the MC of the spooky historical romance graphic novel I've been planning. The story is set couple of years before the French Revolution and René is a failed artist haunted by the ghost of his father.
