This is a stunning location, and the hotel is gorgeous. Privileged to be included in the delivery team for this.
Today we’re starting our in-person Global Crucible lab, bringing researchers together from the Universities of Ghana, Leeds and Wits for a day of interdisciplinary collaboration.
Thrilled to be able to do so in this stunning location in Muldersdrift, SA

Interesting discovery this morning - BBC website has ads outside of the UK. At least I know where to go for premium festive treats in Johannesburg now...

Next week we're hosting our final in-person Global Crucible lab, in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The in-person part of the programme is always an exciting opportunity to spark ideas and make connections.

Last year, we captured this for participants to share their thoughts - take a look 👇

Reform's former Leader in Wales, Nathan Gill, a 10.5 year jail term for taking bribes from the Kremlin.

Cosied up to authoritarian powers & traded principles for payoffs. Reform's leadership laughably claimed they barely knew Gill.

Will all this be on tomorrow's front pages?

This was one of my favourite Insight Series sessions this year.

Paul shared some really candid insights into some of the challenges facing interdisciplinary teams, and offered some tangible advice on how to overcome these.

Well worth a read/watch 👇
When you've got your interdisciplinary research project funded, how do you go about keeping everyone in the team on board?

Read some excellent advice from Prof Paul Vickers in this blog post from earlier this year 👇

On ITV LastOrders tonight I will be raising this very issue for Leeds, another site of deployment of this demonstrably discriminatory technology

Outrageous that Live Facial Recognition is being used on local people in Crawley today.

I have warned ministers that police are acting unlawfully by deploying this intrusive technology with no approval from Parliament.

Can anyone help with some popular #science #BookRecommendations?
I had a very good run of books a while back, with The Good Virus, Entangled Life, Blue Machine, and Seven Brief Lessons on Physics, but all of my recent recommendations are a bit too 'self-help' for my liking.
