I would rather your indie game include the most ill-fitting public domain song you could find as opposed to your indie game using AI for the music. Stock assets exist to help devs with gaps in their skillset and there are tons of completely free to use stock assets out there, USE THEM.

Why big corporations are pushing for AI harder than ever: Now that they've fired you all and realized that AI isn't actually as good as it was promised to be, they're desperately dumping billions into it because they're also realizing how much it will cost to rehire a full workforce if it fails.

I love how this is not only not accurate to old Resident Evil games (The original trilogy had almost no signposting and definitely had no sparkles around interactions) but the final panel is clearly inspired by FFVII.
Also hating yellow paint is valid, it's the lazy devs method of signposting.

Friendly reminder that if a game studio is engaged in anti-consumer practices, it is likely also HEAVILY entrenched in anti-labor practices as well.
I am being dead serious when I say that game developers should never apply to studios like Riot, EA, Blizzard, etc. no matter how desperate you are.

3 years ago today, Riot Games offered me a job making more money than I ever thought I’d make in my life. I had 19 interviews over 2.5 months to get it. Partner and I were moving to LA for it. I put in notice at my job and apartment.

Let me explain why "Valve should just make their own payment processor!" is a stupid idea:
The payment processors aren't really the issue here, it's the banks.
If Valve actually made their own payment processing service, chances are they'd just be de-banked by the same forces that control MasterCard

Looks like GDC is trying to rebrand itself into an event where the whole point is for indie devs to try and rub elbows with publishers, yet also sounds like it'll be too expensive for the indies who would really need that money to gain access.
