Behold: The Dryangle V0.1!*

A philosophical model for the most efficient and effective way of drying laundry outside on a washing line or airer, depending on weather conditions.

*V0.1 because there are probably more accurate ways to explain the considerations.

A visual model of a triangle that explains the considerations for the most efficient way to hang washing on the line depending on weather conditions. The triangle has corners labelled Warm, Sunny, Breezy. Each line is labelled Space, Time, Mass. In the centre is a gradient going from teal (less) to orange (more). The idea being that the closer current conditions are to the centre of the Dryangle, the most efficient conditions are for Space (how close together you can hang the washing), Mass (how thick the fabrics can be), and Time (how late in the day you can hang the washing and still get it dry before dusk). This was made by me, Kaye Elling, an academic and middle aged woman, and almost certainly undiagnosed neurodivergent.

I really, really, really love my #TTRPG gaming groups, but occasionally, on days like today, I'm so relieved it's not a game night.

There's a huge golden retriever in our neighbourhood called Dave who also runs exactly like this. And he sounds like a slavering beast from hell as he does so.
Many times he's come bounding towards me and Dash on a late night walk through a local alleyway, scaring the life out of me in the dark. 😅

AI has tanked my audio production business, exchange rates and the cost of living crisis have tanked my English tutoring and, as someone with health conditions that needs to social distance, the remote jobs have all dried up with RTO.

Pretty desperate for work if anyone knows of anything!

Fun with Data
Juvenile Crime skyrocketed between the 1960s and 1990s. Gang violence and 'super-predators' dominated the news. Then in 1995 it dropped and kept dropping.
No one knows why.
Some attribute it to Roe-v-Wade passing 20 years before.
Possibly it was all those "violent" FPS video-games.

One tracks Juvenile Robbery Arrests Rates, another for Juvenile Aggravated Assault, and the third Juvenile Violent Crime. All the graphs rise from 1960, peak in 1994/1995, then drop to just above or below the 1960 rates in 2021.
