Yes, to paraphrase the Bible, everything has its season, and seasons do change.
White House joins Bluesky and I immediately blocked it.

We did good today, Bluesky friends. Our kids and grands can be proud of us.

Courage is contagious. Come on in, Republican friends. The water’s fine.
Auto correct keeps saying Suzanne instead of Suzette and I keep ignoring. Sorry! Edit button, please!
Totally agree, Suzanne. I’m proud we had the rally in Brunswick, and proud of us boomers, especially our vets. But our leaders really need to reach young folks and minorities. We need them more than ever.
Can you imagine if Biden, Obama, or even W posted something like this? They never would but if they had, the outrage would’ve been off the charts.

Full window view needed for this sunset. The single pane isn’t enough. Good night everyone.
These are Americans too, who were missing, so I won’t hold my breath for Americans’ reaction to being called terrorists until we can reach everyone.
True, Republicans have money & top propagandists. They’ve reached poor white voters, rural & urban alike. I get the frustration of Black & other minority voters, but in a city ~65% minority, few showed up. Why aren’t we getting to them? Why did we get mostly white boomers?

Last one for me today, from a quick stop for a look at the Erie Canal this summer. #BlueSkyArtShow theme is #Vertical all day Saturday. Link to the feed in comments.
As a gay Latino in a rural area, I get the frustration. Maybe organizers just aren’t reaching minority communities effectively in rural areas. The thing about MAGA’s autocratic policies is, they impact us all.
So don’t say I’m wrong. Cameron Kasky made a similar observation on MSNBC’s The Weekend as to the event he attended (I missed where.) @suzette.bsky.social is right that it depends on the area, but we still need to reach out to grow diversity participation in our ranks, particularly in rural areas.
That’s why they have to hide, they’re law breakers.

No Kings Day 2.0, Milpitas CA. Young and old, frogs and chickens (or ducks?), patriots all

I’m sure, Suzette, but considering that about 56% of Brunswick’s population is African American and 9% Hispanic, their absence was striking. In a crowd of roughly 400–500 people, I saw maybe 10 Black attendees and about 5 Latinx. Young people were also noticeably scarce.
And it’s most appropriate in the age of trolling.
How would Americans react? Hard to say. I’m not holding my breath. The #NoKings rally went well, but most attendees were older. There was little diversity. Very few young people, African Americans, Latinxs, or LGBTQ+ folks. It’s a bit disheartening.

18 October 1937 | A French Jewish girl, Renee Stolowicz, was born in Paris.

In October 1943 she was deported to #Auschwitz and murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.
