I have a tendency to go too long and end up with fry meats. I may need to try some bone in meats in the InstaPot.

Not surprising. I use the slow cooker and InstaPot only for selected items. I recently tried “roasting” a whole chicken in the slow cooker: NEVER again! Slow and old is good enough for me, especially for poaching chicken breasts.

The golden eagles
are enormous! I see the bald eagles frequently when they come down into the valleys in winter. Once on a not-freezing February day, we saw 4 adult bald eagles in one bare tree. It was a moment of awe for me. I feel so privileged to be surrounded by all of these animals.

We are now able to experience Whooping Cranes in ways that were unimaginable only a few decades ago. It's probably been hundreds of years since flocks, numbering in the dozens of individuals, danced together in the warm autumn light. #Birds #conservation #SK

I’d love to, but life circumstances make it difficult. We still have our cat, but she misses him too. I know we just need more time to work through this loss. 💔

Ah, Jen, thanks. You hit on something: not being able to have another dog. We can’t have another dog either, and for the last 20 years (3 dogs), I have been the designated walker. Thanks for helping me understand another dimension. I hope a time comes when bringing a pup home is possible for you.
