(1/11) If you live in NY, you’ve probably started seeing a new warning: “THIS PRICE WAS SET BY AN ALGORITHM USING YOUR PERSONAL DATA.” This mandatory disclosure went into effect late last year, and it’s the first attempt by a US state to grapple with a new generation of surveillance pricing.

Fun adventure today to Swan Falls Dam. We biked 11+ miles, and saw a new bird, the Bushtit. Cute fast little guys!

Tow truck operators were also working to extract an absolutely destroyed vehicle from below the cliffs on the way down to the dam. Not going to google anything about that :/

As a proud U.S. citizen, Juana never thought she'd be zip-tied and detained by ICE for hours with her 3-year-old son, especially while attending a family-friendly event.

They’re two of hundreds of people we’re defending in court for being targeted in an unlawful militarized immigration raid.

Franzi Schimmer captured this Grizzly bear in Brooks Falls, Alaska just floating along, tippy-tapping down the river, browsing the salmon.

Prior to hibernation, up to 40% of a bear's body mass is fat, which is less dense than water (~0.9 g/cm^2), so the murder-monster is also a floaty-boaty.
