This video of reporters flooding out of the Pentagon after refusing to sign Hegseth’s authoritarian pledge that would force them to have the DOD review all their articles before publication is one of the most satisfying things I’ve seen in a while

"[2024] CO2 increased by 3.5ppm, the largest increase since measurements began in 1957. This increase was driven by fossil CO2 emissions, enhanced fire emissions & reduced terrestrial/ocean sinks, which could signal a climate feedback."

Keeping an eye on our planet's recent temperature trend and variability (12-month running mean). Many of the temporary peaks and dips are related to upper ocean heat anomalies in the Pacific (like ENSO).

We do the work to find science-based solutions to climate change.

And we give it away for free.

Sadly, climate funding is stalling this year and groups like ours are falling behind. Can you consider making a tax-deductible gift?

The Supreme Court’s majority right wing indicated in oral arguments that they think racism is over on the same day that the vice president defended the “I love Hitler” guy, and that the NYT reported that the current administration plans to accept only white, English-speaking refugees.

We prevail through solidarity. Much organizing is behind this decision by Brown U to not cave, on the day that the Pentagon press corps walked out in unison rather than submit to censorship. In the year that so many non-immigrants showed up to stand with immigrants. #nokings
Brown rejects the compact!

President Paxson’s letter references the views of stakeholders - & I know as an alum how activated the Brown community was while the school considered its response - an important reminder of how much organizing matters
Breaking News: Brown University became the second college to reject a White House deal offering preferential treatment for federal grants.

You’re right. It certainly depends on the emissions trajectory: the sooner we achieve carbon neutrality the lesser the risk. However the fossil fuel forces see a boon in these technologies, which is sure to make the shock devastating.
