That's fine- but I'm tired of being told that I have to vote for so and so even tho they don't represent my interests and then blamed for the fallout when their candidate doesn't win.

Others can explain this argument with more justice than I can, but Waving it away as "apathy" isn't being honest about it. Sorry but I genuinely will not vote for someone who does not share my values. It's ok to have standards and politicians have to earn your vote, they aren't entitled to it.

When I explain that boycotting an election over an issue has never once forced a politician to embrace that issue, I'm not "scolding people to vote." I'm explaining reality.

Feel free to sit on your ass! Just don't pretend that your lazy apathy is somehow going to advance your agenda.
