Fans are bad. One comment I heard on Alien Earth was how it was “sooo convenient” for the Alien to turn up like it did. What the hell do they want? The alien has to get there somehow. The comes a time in being a fan that the default mode cannot be “as if that would happen”

RIP Drew Struzan. Stunning talent. Even more stunning when you realise those ‘montage’ movie posters haven’t a lick of digital in the illustration. Still astounds me that he created 7 variations of The Goonies poster, each with a different member of the young cast at the top of the chain

How is this repeatedly made into a policy issue - by *all* parties - when the blunt fact of the matter is that grown adults who are obliged to pay for their own education, and relentlessly pursued to repay their loans, should be able to study whatever the fuck they want.
