On these figures, Reform would have a majority with 331 MPs, Labour would have 127, the LibDems 72, the Tories 44 and the Greens 10.

Proof positive, yet again, that our already shaky FPTP system collapses completely with many parties in contention.
Our latest Westminster voting intention (12-13 Oct) has the Greens on their highest figure ever recorded by YouGov

Reform UK: 27% (no change from 5-6 Oct)
Labour: 20% (=)
Conservatives: 17% (=)
Lib Dems: 16% (-1)
Greens: 13% (+1)
SNP: 3% (-1)

It’s striking to see both Israelis and Palestinians released today flashing peace signs as they emerge from captivity.

May they and those who love them find healing in their freedom.

Israel has killed at least 237 journalists and media workers since October 7, 2023, according to CPJ data. Those who have survived the record death toll have faced being traumatized, displaced, and deliberately starved over the last two years.

"While Britain was redefining what a woman is, China was building five nuclear reactors," says Kemi Badenoch.

I cannot be the only person curious about how these two things are related
This from the @pressgazette.co.uk morning newsletter raises such an important point.

Local news outlets get ignored and overlooked all over the internet, even when they're doing a great job of covering their patch.

All we want is a level playing field, and a fair slice of the pie!

The way you have ordered the line-up is very satisfying

I know the feeling. If I hadn't left Grealish on the bench I'd be in triple figures by now. I am an idiot.

Ipswich Town's 6,013-day wait for a win over Norwich City is over.

Cedric Kipre's goal from a corner, Jaden Philogene's wonderstrike and Jack Clarke's close-range effort earn Ipswich derby victory for the first time since 19 April 2009.
Yes Jay, this is the right reaction. Both my inner nature nerd and inner rail nerd are excited about it.
For the first time in generations, public access has been restored to the area underneath Rendelsham Viaduct, known as "Fourteen Arches" to Enfield locals of a certain age.

This route is also now part of the London Loop, and improves access to the capital's largest tree-planting project!
