Beginning to go this way in the UK. It was the Conservative government turning against (medical) doctors that made me notice. Now we have members of the public expressing their views about medical staff being 'lazy' and kindred complaints. I know otherwise as I spent 40 years working in healthcare.
My sister is a nurse. My oldest daughter is a nurse. My wife is a lab tech. And...and one time...I was a nurse. Don't tell my family...or the hundreds of thousands of other families...that nurses...and those in the health field...aren't "professionals."

On Bregman, I was there in the audience and I can’t see what the BBC have gained by removing this line except more bad publicity. I will say that no such edits or censorship occurred when I gave the Reith Lectures and free-speech defenders might want think about whether this is the world they want.
