hightailing it to here full stop - still James - still probably a writer.
I don't know if I can adequately or succinctly account for the rest of what I am, and to be honest I'm not sure I want to.

These deep dives into Terrance Dicks' Target novelisations are absolutely fascinating. Highly recommended (and not just because I get a glowing name check in this one)!

White leftists empathizing with racists is exactly why we say you’re more dangerous than republicans. You talk the talk but never walk the walk especially when you’re not the target. Your stake in white supremacy matters more to you than your ideology, whatever that looks like now.

This is beautifully, powerfully written… and I agree with every word. I too, am an AI Hater.
I considered writing a long carefully constructed argument laying out the harms and limitations of AI, but instead I wrote about being a hater. Only humans can be haters.
I Am An AI Hater
I am an AI hater. This is considered rude, but I do not care, because I am a hater.

I am seeing gen-AI creeping into solo ttrpg communities more and more, which is baffling and frustrating. Being creative, collaborating instead of merely consuming, is the point. Why are you outsourcing that to a water-guzzling plagiarism machine? Just play the damn game. Be creative. Be joyful.
I was going to post new Sundered Isles this Friday but I got distracted by something else and made a video on that instead and that something else is some fucking awful AI nonsense I’m having thrust upon me.

SO YEAH. @itch.io has just enacted a massive search shadowban on adult content. I tagged my old game "Who will you save? / Who will you serve?" as "adult" and immediately got removed from search results.
