i hesitate to say that OFMD inspired Pasha The Storm, but... i will admit that... I wanted to write about an old gay pirate queen because of Izzy Hands.

The main characters are PASHA! a former pirate in her late 50s who only wants to retire and is instead kidnapped by ATLE ITAAVAR, a government official who is determined to kill the giant, mythical orca known as the Vagnmyr that haunts the icy northern ocean.

I took just about every pirate fiction trope I could think of and reversed it. The only one that stayed unchanged was enemies to lovers. It's perfect as is.
