Penguins (which are also my favorite animal).

Of backyard birds, grackles (my funny lil anxiety birds), with an additional soft spot for crows.

That said, I'll stop whatever I'm doing for literally any bird that happens into my line of sight.
you don’t really know someone until you find out their favorite bird

My life right now is just me needing to do things... and the cats not allowing me to do things.

Giving myself a mani/pedi for the first time in literally years.

(Tbf, the color name was too on-brand for me to resist.)

Honestly have no idea what some people get out of using AI for writing. Just had all the parts of a story idea click into place and it’s such a satisfying feeling. Why the hell would anyone want to outsource creativity?

Everybody should have easy access to accommodations AND we should be collaborating toward a more inclusive baseline to begin with.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

ISO links to short stories with disabled characters.

Bonus points if they're fantasy, sci-fi, and/or fairy tale inspired.

Today in liminal spaces...

This semester, I'm teaching in a former library, notoriously haunted by a librarian. Today, I stumbled upon this room that looks like the beginning of something Guillermo del Toro might direct.

(Perfect setting for this semester's course theme: Social Horror.)

Just DNF'd a book with disabled and queer rep. I was about 70 pages in when random biphobia surfaced for no reason and, when I researched others' reviews, it's apparently just a totally normal (and never challenged) part of this character. I'm not about it. 💖💙💜
