Unreal match!! 🙌🇨🇦
INCROYABLE 🇨🇦 MBOKO

Canadian Victoria Mboko defeats Elena Rybakina in electrifying fashion to advance to the National Bank Open final in Montreal.

Rybakina served for the match twice. Mboko broke her twice. And now the 18-year-old is heading to the final. Outstanding tennis.

A study confirms what we have long argued: the spectacular Atlantic 'cold blob' is the result of a slowing of the Atlantic overturning circulation #AMOC, which transports warm waters into that region. That's the only part of Earth that resisted #globalwarming. 🌊

A very interesting read re: the dire wolf hoopla, to this non-genomicist.
Also realizing how much I've missed educated scientific discourse. Well done 👏
alright i have my laptop, guess i'm livetweeting the dire wolf preprint.

so a quick reminder: this is not yet peer-reviewed, so there's some different expectations re: quality.

also let's be clear, i'm a hella biased reader, bc i don't trust the hype they're courting
Briefly read through this and...hmm. I have thoughts that may merit a deeper dive.

One big concern: while their reference method seems reasonable for research uses, I'm thinking that if you want to claim you're cloning one, I'm sorry but you've actually gotta de novo that.

Call me old fashioned, but I don’t think provincial leaders should be working with hostile foreign govts to interfere in a federal election to get their preferred party elected whose “perspective would be very much in sync with, I think…the new direction in America”

This is traitorous stuff.
Smith to Breitbart: “What I fear is the longer this dispute goes on, politicians posture, and it seems to be benefiting the Liberals right now. So I would hope we could put things on pause is what I’ve told administration officials. Let’s just put things on pause so we can get through an election.”
