so, a lot of the packages I get are routed to a nearby supermarket that has a postal pickup service, and one of the guys who take care of the mail is a very affable guy who, because I’m nice enough in person, has taken to assuming that I am his friend and developed a rapport with me

missing our little guy so much, but saying "hey buddy!" to a ghost cat when we get home is very comforting stuff.
