This is the kind of gap between rank and file voters and the party establishment that will likely cause some real havoc and disruption in the party's politics and primaries. In a different way, it's what gave rise to Trump in GOP.
It seems the pro-Israel consensus among Democrats is well and truly dead at this point. Dem primary voters prefer candidates who refuse to travel to Israel (by net +45%) and back a bill to end military aid to Israel (by net +61%). www.filesforprogress.org/datasets/202...

The organization that molded the candidacy & platform for the very candidate you’re supporting is “awful”? The political organization that numbers over 10k members across the city & is the infrastructure for his campaign is “awful”? If mamdani & his campaign are the path forward, so is DSA.
And it also feels like some folks have decided to hate Mamdani because of his association with DSA and are looking for any little bit of info to confirm that bias. And I agree that the DSA is an awful, problematic organization. But there are much larger issues at stake in this election.

I truly hope left & prog candidates can ride the Zohran wave and boot centrists from the party, & it is also imperative that we beat the drum that a healthy DSA chapter was an essential ingredient in forming who Zohran is & is inextricable at every level from his campaign’s success t.co/GftxUKQ4Rq

This should put to bed the idea that passing and implementing populist policies isn’t good politics. They need to be well administered, publicized, and the effects clearly demonstrated. Oh and take the damn credit loudly and proudly !
It's insane how much more popular NYC's congestion pricing got when it was implemented and people started actually seeing it work

Hakeem Jeffries is a despicable piece of shit full stop. He deserves nothing less than full public humiliation and to leave office in disgrace

Ok, then I don’t want to hear another fucking word about how Rashida should have publicly endorsed Kamala.
Today, Gov. Hochul explicitly declined to endorse Zohran Mamdani for mayor despite his victory in the Democratic primary. She also mistakenly mispronounced his name both times she said it as "Mandami" (like Cuomo, but likely without the malice) www.cityandstateny.com/politics/202...
