Finally finished! In 1968, a group of misfits build a family (not polyam). Weirdly, it’s not the only sad gay boy historical + found family I’m reading, but it’s the most poignant and heartrending, the most hopeful. I’m getting a print copy for my collection. Do yourself a favor and do the same.

Cool cool cool. Guess today’s the day to have a complete meltdown because you ordered sandwiches but you ended up with a sub roll instead of gf bread and hubs is like “you have bread, just put it all on your bread” like that’s not how this works. Also I paid extra for gf bread. I expect gf bread.

Countries with the kind of healthcare the chronically ill and disabled need don't want to admit us because we would be a 'drain on resources'. Ableism exists everywhere. It's a global problem. So while the US tries to kill us (again) so many are literally stuck.
Please understand that Americans who have a serious chronic illness essentially have no where to run to.
(The immigration rules of countries with the kind of health care system it takes to keep me alive deny me admission because I'm seriously chronically ill, and, therefore, a 'drain on resources')

Y'all, I got fourth place in my group! I get to move on to the next round! (which means I have to write a 500 word rhyming story this weekend 😨🫣)
Just submitted my first story for NYC Midnight, so fun! The short timeframe and word count makes it so you have to do a lot of tightening up in a short period of time, and then this particular one had to rhyme! I don't have any expectations, but hey, fingers crossed ;) #RhymingStoryChallenge

As folks have said, money is always the best when donating to food banks, but if you want to donate goods, think about your celiac and other disabled peers. GF and DF foods are already at a premium, and nobody deserves to further injure themselves because they can’t afford to eat what they need.
