I need to be clear, here, I had two babies in this place, in a new house, where we'd been robbed of a load of stuff from our first house so not much cluttler. I had them in the spring, when nobody expects any work except gardening, which I do anyway. Winter babes are a different matter. Draw a tree?

B-day minus seven: my daughter-in-law will be induced with a boy baby a week from tomorrow and my granddaughter will be two a day later. There will then be two elders, a happily married couple, and their toddler and newborn in a 1568 sq ft mobile home. Old style, folks.

I have a critical piece of knowledge for those of us finding out way up and down the Puget-Willamette trough. Apparently it is possible to become an Uber driver in Portland without knowing where Union Station is, so if you have a train to catch, leave really rarly.

Back in the olden days, when I wasn't always sleep deprived, I used to watch late-night comedy shows. Now I subscribe to Greg Mitchell's Rock and a Hard Place with all kinds of stuff which I would miss.
