Anybody knows the model/type of this connector. I am looking for the part that mates with this. Its from a (very old) Norma power analyzer. Not visible here, but it also has a shield on 1/2 the side.

My org @fightforthefuture.org has been “de-googling” for the last year.

We’re totally off Google suite, Google docs, Drive, Calendar.

We’re using Signal and Element for chat, Nextcloud for docs, etc

Planning to publish a “how to” guide for other nonprofits and activist groups soonish.

Villains isn't even a strong enough description. We're being terrorized by a handful of lifetime appointed ghouls we the people didn't elect.

It's that giving time of year again, so this is a reminder that no matter how they try to dress it up, the Salvation Army is not a charity.

an important read for at least 2 reasons:

1. shows how big tech operates on intuitions and vibes and not rigorous research

2. this is a masterpiece in how to breakdown complex scientific concepts in simple language and elegant pros that captivate the lay reader

taranis.ie/datacenters-...
Datacenters in space are a terrible, horrible, no good idea.
There is a rush for AI companies to team up with space launch/satellite companies to build datacenters in space. TL;DR: It's not going to work.

People may not know I have an "extras" (third) channel and I've been posting some videos to it lately. Nothing long or complex -- just quick phone videos usually on stuff going on down in the basement. (Or sometimes other random things.)

unbelievable, scrubbing with a magic eraser and then it works again
Lithium battery fumes got inside the HDD and oxidized the platter. I actually was able to clean this off with a magic eraser AND IT READS... Plenty of bad sectors, but i am getting an image!

I'm interested in it because it's used with the Dynix Automated Library System, used by a ton of libraries in the 80s and 90s. It's currently not available in any form (but I'm working on it)

I got the sliders waxed in the hot water & wax mixture and I'm actually shocked that this seems to have improved the white Alps.

Believe me I was a certified hater of this trick for a long time and was ready to rant my ass off about it if this failed. But I was wrong, these really are much better

RCA phono oscillator 1935, it is an accessory that was connected to an AM radio so that a phonograph could be played through the radio. Its a low power transmitter. I built many of these low power transmitting circuits when I was a kid. This is the oldest circuit I have seen. NJARC swap meet find.

It's my favorite day! It's the 38th anniversary of the Max Headroom signal broadcast intrusion!

1st incident lasted 25s during the 9PM news on WGN-TV in Chicago; The 2nd, 2hrs later, lasted ~90s on PBS affiliate WTTW during Dr. Who.
