Almost every woman I know that’s had an abortion, including myself, wanted it, and felt tremendous relief once it was done.

My abortion was the key to getting my education and gaining economic stability. It gave me freedom, and allowed me to escape the cycle of poverty.
"Nobody wants an abortion" is straight bullshit. I've never had to have an abortion, but I've definitely had moments when I thought I might need one, and I absolutely wanted one. Not even a question.

No paid family leave.
No universal healthcare.
No universal childcare.
No pay equity laws.
Expired Child Tax Credits.

Allowing poverty rates to soar for families headed by single mothers is a choice.
The poverty rate soared for families headed by single mothers last year
The rate for single-father households increased as well — but by a much smaller amount.

Remote work would really help with both the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic and the reduction of climate-warming emissions.

Capitalism, corporate real estate and billionaires' egos aren't good reasons to destroy our health, lives and the planet.
A new study suggests that fully remote workers may produce less than half the climate-warming emissions of people who spend their days in offices.

Fuck no. No hate, no racism, no anti-LGTBQ bullshit, no misogyny, and no Nazis.

Freedom of speech isn’t a freedom to spread hate and hate propaganda. That’s not censorship, that’s moderating a healthy, respectful community.

That’s not negotiable.

my downstairs neighbors, who complain about EVERYTHING, just complained to mgmt bc they can hear water running from my bathroom. I told them they should move to the suburbs if they want absolute silence. I’m about to get a basketball and start bouncing it on my floor.

It’s interesting that a scrappy left-wing Jewish org plays such a big role in NYC politics & grassroots organizing, and also interesting that this regularly goes unnoticed by / unmentioned in press coverage of that organizing.
