He's also responsible for raising all the money that paid for bringing Hollingsworth v. Perry & even more importantly Bostic v. Schaefer, which created the circuit split that forced SCOTUS to take on Obergefell v. Hodges. The role he played in American marriage equality cannot be overstated.
The cultural impact of Rob Reiner cannot be understated. Legend isn't big enough a word. It goes to 11. You can't handle the truth. As you wish. I'll have what she's having. I'm your number one fan. You guys wanna see a dead body? The very idea of a bucket list. The West Wing.

All from his movies.

Such a terrific film.
If you want to celebrate the life of Rob Reiner tonight and you haven't seen it, the documentary about his best friend, ALBERT BROOKS: DEFENDING MY LIFE, is as much about Brooks as it is Reiner's love for his lifelong best friend. As fall down hilarious as it is sweet & touching. It's a must see.

Sobbing through the ending of Chariots of Fire, which I’ve never been able to rewatch.

Leaning over to ask my dad, “are you sure we should be watching this?” when he took me and my lil sis to see The Road Warrior at ages 13 and 10.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

When I was a production assistant on The Office, the only writing of mine that anyone read was the catering menu I typed up each day for the crew. But I realized the menu was my chance to impress the writers. So here’s a quick #Scriptsky #Screenwriting thread on HIDDEN OPPORTUNITIES.

On the most recent season of Platonic (Apple), one of the characters develops a catchphrase for her podcast: “Don’t ask, don’t get.” There’s some truth to this in Hollywood but only some. So this week’s #Scriptsky #Screenwriting thread is on FAVORS. When/when not to ask and what to ask for.

While my first instinct is to be angry about people regretting how they endangered themselves (and all of us) with foolish choices, I am also so very glad to have ANYONE coming to their senses and speaking out.

I specifically had to frame it in terms of breaking customers’ trust. If a customer sees a corp’s AI photo/video, and clocks it as fake, they can’t trust that the company’s services actually provide real results either. They feel lied to, and won’t buy

(Which *should* seem obvious from jump, but 🤷)
I would love to know some of the points you brought up that helped provide your boss with perspective and encourage the reconsideration, if you don't mind sharing~
