If you want to inflict hurt on the rich and large corporations,

STOP SPENDING SO MUCH FUCKING MONEY ON THINGS YOU DON'T NEED!!!!!

I know you don't want to hear this, but he's the best President the climate could have asked for.
#DEGROWTH!!!!
Wait til people find out cars last longer, tires last longer, brakes last longer, and less gas is burned when you #SLOWDOWN!
No, I don't support him, but fax is fax.

It has been my opinion since January that His Madnesty and the Oligarch actively want to drive the economy into depression.
If that is they want, they're doing all the right stuff. There is no thing which they are doing which doesn't work towards it.
Global, 1930s on steroids, Greatest Depression.

Reading an article about today's stock market dive in The Guardian, and they ask "how much pain" Tmurp can stand.
The answer is, he can stand infinite pain as long as it's other people who are hurting.

pro tip: if you can afford to blow $250 million on a losing campaign in Wisconsin, you can afford to pay a 90% top tax margin

Personally I suspect that Musk has more power than His Madnesty and can't be fired.
I hope I'm wrong.
I'll be watching.
That was fast! Have some extra cheese on us, Wisconsin 💪🏽 🧀

He's absolutely correct.
Global heating is a direct output of building the modern world.
It's the people who tell you we can keep the modern world without heating the planet who are wrong (at best.)

They call it "DOGE" but really it's just Emporer Elon.
Bizarre that the US elected a felon in order that a megalomaniac might control the nation.

The collapse is ugly. It was always going to be. The old ways of governing in the US weren't doing any good, but they weren't this ugly.
March 29, 2025 at 2:10 PM
We're there.
This is a real tweet posted by the official White House government account. Yes, really.

I find it fascinating how many writers talk of "taking generations" for the US to recover our lost world leadership and respect.
I hate to break this to you, but the destruction of the former US "government for the people" system does not cause ecosystem collapse to stop nor drastically slow.

In seven years of writing of steps to ameliorate the damage our culture does to the global ecosystem, I rarely ever had my words spread by my supposed allies.
Trump, Musk, et al, get their words spread by those same "my supposed allies" many times every day.
I see what "we" prefer to hear.

FEMA was created by Congress at the behest of Jimmy Carter.
Their first formal outing was to serve the people of Alabama after a hurricane.
That same year, Ronald Reagan said, "Government isn't the solution, government is the problem," and FEMA's first ever clients voted for him.

Of which the net result will be, "Oh of course certainly," followed by a loud flushing sound.
BREAKING via AP

U.S. District Judge James Boasberg said during a hearing Thursday that he’ll issue a temporary restraining order barring Trump administration officials from destroying messages sent over the encrypted messaging app Signal.

There are roughly 8 billion people being run roughshod over by about 1000 billionaires.
This will continue until the 8 billion make them stop.
March 27, 2025 at 7:57 PM
Reading the ongoing reports of the Signal fiasco give me the exact same feeling I get when I read the continuing details of global ecosystem collapse.
Too much thunder, not enough rain.

They are not going to stop what they are doing unless somebody physically forces them to.
March 25, 2025 at 11:13 PM
It's a good thing we've got social media.
Otherwise somebody might have to actually do something.
March 25, 2025 at 4:57 PM
Sigh. 😥
Headed down to the local VA waiting room to hear how this breach of National Security is all somehow Hillary Clinton's fault.

And all of it will turn out to have been a tempest in a teapot.
If they can find some innocent, uninvolved person, they'll fire her, but otherwise it's all over but the pissing and moaning.
Including the wrong recipient is a mistake. Using a non-government platform for classified information is a crime.

No, incompetence is not an option.
It's a job requirement.
When the stakes are this high, incompetence is not an option.

Pete Hegseth should resign.

Mike Waltz should resign.

Every climate writer could say
Every day
Slow down
Do less
But instead they say
Look how hot
Look how dead
Look how deep
Look how burned
But never
Slow down
Do less.
Look how bad.
Transition?
Never worked
Never will
Slow down.
Or.

Not

The following is my opinion.
I believe it to be fact as well, but there are far too many variables and I've been wrong before.
I believe that all functioning parts of representative government, what we used to call democracy, are already out of service. There is no structure save dictates, EOs.
