Y'all overestimate how much white Americans actually care about humans being tortured and used as props or property. America was built off of that. They didn't care then and they don't care now. As long as they're ok, everything is ok.

The idea that our elders passively accepted second class citizenship and racism really irks my soul. A gang of folks had to skip town after going ham on someone trying to rob them of dignity or violently impose racism on them.

I really don’t understand why the base wants him to fight beyond the semblance of standing up to a bully. Either way we lose, we have no ground to change anything to a federal government that wants to cannibalize itself anyway and a shut down would put us in crisis.

If I were democratic leadership, I’d revisit that idea about making Pete Buttigieg the unofficial press secretary, and go back to my district as often as possible to build and prepare community for what’s coming.

Democrats had the trifecta from 2021 through 2022 and squandered it. Don't blame the people disenchanted by the Dems consistently proving themselves to be feckless, milquetoast, corporate shills. The responsibility for this moment is as much on the Dem establishment as with any other group.
