I'm going to a figure drawing session on Wednesday night where the models will be cosplaying as Geralt, Triss, and Yennifer. Gonna be so much fun!

I have lots of pose ideas, but all of them involve Triss getting pushed aside (sorry kids, that's just the way it is).

Like all kids my age, I was a big Cracked reader, if only because it was the thing you got when there wasn't a new issue of MAD on the stands (if there wasn't Cracked, you went with Car-Toons...god help us).

RIP Drew Struzan - a man whose talent and imagination etched onto so many minds throughout the last 40+ years.

His art & posters are some of the first visuals I think of when I think about cinema - an invitation to watch these stories and worlds.

Verdict on the Grasshopper Pie: so very good. I mean, this is a super easy, super reliable recipe, so no surprises here. But man, I love this pie.

The filling came out extra-fluffy this time, too. I guess I did a good job folding it all together.

I've been pretty busy this weekend and I just love how quick and easy this pie is. It really takes all of an hour to make, and most of that is waiting for things to set before combining them. It's pretty much foolproof, and the results are tasty. No wonder it was a staple of '60s housewives.

I'm fascinated by The Fabelmans. Not because I think it's a great movie (although it is impeccably made) but because of how it's both autobiographical and pure fiction at the same time.

It's Spielberg reimagining his life as a Spielberg movie. Which, when you think about it, is completely insane.
