We are horrified to learn of the shooting of Charlie Kirk. Political violence has no place in democracy. The foundation of democracy rests on the principle that differences can be debated vigorously, but peacefully, without intimidation or acts of violence.

Please pray for the repose of Charlie Kirk's soul and for his family. This is a complete tragedy. It doesn't matter whether or not you agree with his politics; he was still a human being, a husband, and a father. The person who killed him was a murderer and deserves a just punishment.

I think this is where “human” as a theological concept just means “embodied person” rather than “biological Homo sapiens” (a concept somewhat foreign to the biblical world anyway), which also makes the possibility of aliens easier too.

I think the 1# thing I want young guys my age to take to heart is that they should avoid reactionary politics of all stripes. Young people have always tended to be "creative" in their political beliefs, but I think young white men like myself really fall victim to grifters who push stupid views.

I’m genuinely trying to understand the people who present themselves in this way on the particular stage they occupy. Is this ironic meme chest beating performing for groyper social media? Has he got Jerry Springer-like derangement? Many maga do fit the latter (see eg the Georgian woman) but idk.
