For no particular reason I feel like sharing my 2028 thoughts, since midterms are kinda hanging by house seats outside my state.

So far, all I have are my candidates I will never vote for, period.

- Pete Buttigeg (Anti-Palestine, weak canidate overall)
- Gavin Newsome (Fratrenizing with the enemy)
Only watched half, sorry I'm declaring the rat costume the victor for the sheer commitment
OOOoh, THAT's what they mean by Homosexual.

Lovely news, they knew to destroy this haram candy at once ✅️
Never Newscum.

He can help fight Trump, but his weakling, GOP-lilte, punchable face-having ass bitch needs to be DUMPED the second his term is over.
Here is the full clip with context so people can have all the info! (1.25x speed so I can upload to Bluesky)

Devin (they/them)
Gonna assume its the same reason as my family does, not wanting to get into the weird technicalities of "2nd cousin 1st removed" and whatnot?

The mere fact I can't identify the "technically correct" term for my father's cousin feels like a hint that we all do this just to make it easier to speak.
Tbh I'd be charitable to say I immensely believe many people both don't do the close relationship = family thing, BUT very well understsnd when others *are* engaging in that loose use for kinship words.

Like others ITT I do agree though, the host is being pedantic on purpose to slog Mamdani.
*if they mean relationship proximity or by blood.

Its often just easier to go with these simpler terms and kinda let people learn which ones are blood / which ones are relationship-markers more than family tree references.

I find it odd a political commentator would be so weird about this lol
Tbh as a native english speakwr even that is a mouthful for us, so we just never bother worth it and go with shorter kinship words.

Nowadays you kinda go off of context to find out if when someone calls another "aunt", "cousin", etc. they mean by relationship proximity.
I'm sorry but atp I've just been convinced Israel should not exist, period.

Just ship all the Europeans cosplaying as middle easterners back to Europe where most of them actually come from anyways.

Palestine for Palestine, "Israelis" cannot be trusted not to be hyper belligerent and cruel.
🔴 BREAKING: Al Jazeera reports that Israeli forces carried out multiple overnight strikes across Gaza, despite the ceasefire, hitting buildings in Gaza City, the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, and the Morag axis near Rafah.
To me the US's military axtions are proof enough.

Supporting Israel with the weapons to carry out a genocide, prop up the very *existence* of Israel.

Any country that is or supports Israel to mr fits that bill of hyper blatant evil the more material support they grant it and their horrid citizens.

If you make 130% of the federal poverty level, you qualify for SNAP.

A family of four, making $40,560, qualifies for SNAP benefits meaning thousands of Missouri teachers qualify.

I’m tired of the bullshit. Most of the people who receive snap benefits work.
Which sadly, Microsoft has imserted itself sadly as very hard to avoid unless you *really* wanna dedicate some time really learning how a PC operating system works.

Plus, for a lot us work / school is that one place we can't avoid it even if we personally wanted them to.
Correct me, high god damned chance I'm wrong, didn't they contribute to the white house destruction / building the stupid ballroom?
The only death penalties we should alloe are those a judge can submit themselves to immediately and recieve no permanent injury.
I remember as a kid juust before Obama's rise and hearing adults around me complain about how stupid George Bush is/was.

I'd argue compared to Trump, Bush at least now looks reasonable by sheer comparison alone.

So your solution is.... we should lower our standards like the GOP has, and lower our democratic environment because the GOP has?

Yeah, this is a losing strategy. This is capitulation, not resistance.
In recognizing this, I find the primary should always carry the weight of being the 1st real *obstacle* to getting into office.

In this, I'm convinced we get more gen z voting Dem when we operate am environment where better policies win a primary, and better policies advance to the general. 2/2
I see this sentiment in SO MANY fellow Gen z voting age people I try to pursuade to vote *at all*, on top of pursuading to vote Democrat.

So yes, I find this in my circle at least extremely helpful to me mobilizing more of my generation to vote. 1/2
Wow, our diplomatic and trade relations with Canada have gone waaay down, and we kinda *need* that relationship to be good because, like they haven't wronged us in any signifanct fashion especially since world war 1.

Sure'd be nice if POTUS was repairing that relationship wherever possible...
this is exactly what's happening
The Fred Trump treatment. Give him a fake job while Miller draws up missile strike plans on fishermen.
I'm sorta in the camp of wavering acceptance of Mills *if that means no Platner*, but ya won't catch me foaming for her.

Similarly, wavering support for Wood, barring any information I learn that makes me re-evaluate.

Good thing we have this much time before the primary.
So, so many liberals buy into this idea that primary elections are supposed to be annointing of pre-selected chosen ones, not an actual competition to see who gets the *honor* and *responsibility* to run as the party's candidate.
She's pro-Israel and pro-fillibuster, those are her two weakest points.

Wood very well possibly doesn't have these issues, so that's why progressives (me) may like him more than Mills.

Plus, Mills is another 70+ year old, which we need waaaay less of.
