I would include ‘Spotlight’ as a prelude to the movement. A couple of Docs come to mind ‘On The Record’ and ‘Black Box’. As for mini-series ‘We Need to Talk about Crosby’ covers it all from the the rise of public outcry to messy fallout.

Kelly Reichardt's The Mastermind is out in limited release today in the States, and i would highly, highly recommend it: a patient process thriller a la Melville, if the hero of a Melville movie was a Raskolnikovian loser from Worcester, Mass.

Enjoy? It's a pressing work that's as scary and unsettling as you'd think a Raoul Peck doc on George Orwell's worst imaginings has come to fruition. But glavanizing in helping people understand the chaos and what to do going forward.

IT WAS JUST AN ACCIDENT: I chuckled at the WAITING FOR GODOT name-drop. A darkly comic morality play that balances on the razor's edge, while earnestly exploring cycles of violence done to us, and done to each other. So glad I got to see this with Panahi in attendance
