It would be nice to know with full transparency if the people running this particular instance view minority groups as valued contributors that built much of the initial content, a test case to see how we deal with people who target us, or if the site runners just want us to leave

Moderation is a tightrope walk, for sure. But when people wonder if they'll be punished for something they made today in a week, that frustration is going to start getting people to say "Just put the throttle to the floor"

A lot of the frustration right now is that a lot of us perceive the rules as hard to identify. "Why is that okay, but this isn't?", which is why a lot of original content posters just assume that we're gunna get perma'd at some point.

I agree that personal attacks on staff are NOT okay though.

If I may, if hundreds of people keep saying "This is a person who has actively said that he wants us dead, and wants to bring other people that want us dead to the site, and this is the context of this post", maybe have an escalation procedure?

Mistakes will happen, and moderation is difficult
