Hit the incredibly unsubtle AIDS analogy Rom issue (from 1984, so early days of general awareness of it), where tainted blood infects people and turns them into subhuman monsters that need putting down like dogs to protect normal people.

Jeez.

I guess Rom is at least a little sad about it?!

Two hideous monsters confront Ron and some SHIELD troopers, of whom is asking "Are you tellinh me those creatures are human?!", to which Rom replies "If they were, they are human no longer!"
